Screwdriver for APROO bezel screws

Recommended Posts

Hello there. I saw a video on YouTube from making of AP watches, and the watchmakers at AP used a screwdriver for the bottom bolts for the hex-screws, that looked like they hade made themselves from a pencil or similar material made out of wood. Probably to avoid scratching the polished surface screws in the caseback...

Yes, this is what the Swiss uses for removing the screws. They never use steel head screwdrivers for case works.

BTW, the gen APROO doesn't use those similar bolts as used in rep to hold the bezel screws.Rather they are held by the male/female locking.

A guy on a different forum used a PAM watchband tube and a dremel. Looked very easy to make.

This makes better sense indeed. Do you have the thread showing how it looks like?

Maybe I am wrong then, or perhaps AP has used a new system in their APROO.

This is what I see from the construction drawing. It shows those are not bolts but rather is in tube from to hold the bezel screws.

That drawing is of an AP Royal Oak, not the ROO. See this tutorial for a complete teardown of the ROO: http://www.repgeek.c...ead.php?t=90314

Here is the ROO parts disassembled:
