45mm PO Orange Bezel Coloring - Gen Vs Rep

Have just finished adding a gen insert to my 45mm PO. Gen insert on the left, rep is on the right. A pretty huge difference in shade!

Nice work buddy it's a great watch to add a few gen parts to. It's quite a lot differen in colour to the rep. What's next on the parts list

Looks great. Would like to do this myself. Where did you source the bezel and what was the cost? Is it an easy swap? I'd just take it to my local watch repairer if they could do it.

Wow where did you get the gen bezel? I have a Franken UPO 45 and I'd really like to throw on a gen bezel since that's the only tell. Already have a gen dial hands crown and tube on mine.

If you have a 42 mm planet ocean you can simply buy a genuine bezel and insert and it will fit straight on without modding the watch.

But if you have a 45mm planet ocean all you can do is fit the genuine insert to the rep bezel.for some reason the watch construction is different on the 42 vs the 45. I bought a genuine bezel for my 45mm and there is no way without serious modding to fit it, which I think you'll be pushed to find someone who can ! I put both the gen and rep bezels next to each other and put a few pics on my thread and they really dont look any different.

The 45 UPO orange bezel is lighter and closer to shade of gen. I've had 4 UPO's , 2 Swiss and 2 light versions to compare to my friends gen. Why this is so is beyond me!
