I have recently put up for sale a genuine Precision Explorer case, and I am amazed to see how unknown this watch is. Underappreciated, that what it is, and only because it is 2mm smaller than her famous sisters. But the Precision Explorer is also dramatically cheaper !!! So for a 2 millimeter difference people won't go for this one, when it is the best value you can get - if you want to go all gen - for a 60's or 70's sports Rolex priced below 2.000 euros. I have a 19 cm wrist, and I wanted to share how I wear it. I took some pics beside a small selection of other Rolex watches I have to show there isn't much difference actually. And I also took some wrist shots of course... Note that I am also a Panerai enthusiast, and that I wear well extra large watches... I'd say the Precision Explorer is somewhere between the reverso and the modern Rolex: the slightly smaller size confers it a very elegant aspect that I appreciate very much for it to be different from what the mass wants today !

Hope that small topic can awaken some interest for that god forsaken Rolex.

Cheers !!!

same with me, cars as well as watches, love vintage!

bought an older xj for the last winter to 'preserve' the other toys, but it is still with me as i love the style, to drive it - it's wonderful!

YES !!!! Mine is a 1960's model I bought a few years ago and I drive it everyday I can. Condition is beyond imagination for an old sedan since they are all pretty much wrecked or dismanteled to restaure more valuable models. The previous owner spend over 30k to improve it! But time will make the difference: Lyons considered it his masterpiece and the very achievement of his brand in terms of design, and it was the main inspiration for Callum to go into Design. You make me want to post more pics mate !

yes pls., was just to shy to ask.

mine is a x300, relatively new / after ford was in coventry, but still the old 'line' and a wonderful daily-driver and winter-car. my old ones are 2-seat convertibles coming from german production.

love this hobby.

Nice watches! Mostly the GMT. What car is this? Looks like a 70's Mercedes.... It's hard to take a decent shot while driving right? I've been trying that for a while without success....

I had to try again!!! :) So I just drove out a short while and shot these pics attached. I must admit I felt a bit stupid driving with one hand and taking pictures of my wrist with the other....... Good I was the only one on the road! ;)

oh yes, 'wristies' are quite difficult when you drive.

but even changing the watch for the shot - man that's crazy :clap2:

yes, this is a 107 benz.

like the nice collection of instruments and switches in your jag.

lovely pre-daytona, any further words on this?

another try ... b.t.w. not driving this moment ...

I LOVE the 107, beautiful design : one of the best german design for the period actually. I'm glad you liked my 6238, it's a neat little watch. How about your 6263? Is it a V72 powered one? It looks great on the picture. Here are one last couple of shots for the road: it's a game actually to take those driving wrist shots!!! B)
