Has anyone installed a OEM dial into a Omega SMP?

Hey all,

Thinking I want to mod my SMP with an OEM Dial.

Has anyone performed this surgery yet?

Or, does anyone know if a OEM dial will fit our Reps?

I want to intsall OEM Hands also, I beleive I have read that they do fit our Reps...can anyone confirm?

yes its been done, quite a few members have done it.

Ranging from putting in OEM 007 dial, to Standard SMP dial to GMT dial.

dial feet are a little shorter on the OEM from what i've heard, some members had to use Double sided tape to make sure the dial stays on, but generally it should be fine.

I thought about it, but the price I found for OEM bezel was $149 range, so I decided my $200 SMP didn't need one that badly

I'll be looking to add teh OEM dial in future but only if the price is right!

I can confirm this: Genuine Seamaster Pro dial will fit ETA2824 nicely. no need to double sided tape it. I have done this on my 4th gen Orange PO. Changed the dial to 007 to make this a fantasy watch

yes, i've come up to the same problem -- it almost doesn't seem worth it to get a genuine dial that costs exactly half of the rep watch itself. also, the particular watch i like (2254.50) has a very well done dial, it seems, so the only reason to switch to the gen dial is, well, the lume. no other reason. now, i am a lume fanatic, but the gen dial just seems to cost too much. i wonder how much a re-luming is, though (eg, palpatine).

i know some people have had success getting dials and things off ebay, but i haven't taken the plunge due to not being sure of what i'm getting.
