Hard to say by Josh's pics, but if I know H-Factory - it will be a decent overall replication that can be worn as is or used as a parts donor for other projects. The great news for builders is that now there are quality Ti case parts available, most importantly the A-F style CG that we've never had before. Old Ti reps had poor CGs, while Sead's Ti CG cannot be used with most automatic watches due to a shallower than genuine crown cutout, the crown simply rubs in time setting or cant even be fully extended.

The dial will likely be the standard H-Factory fare, not bad overall or from 10 feet away, but obviously lacking compared to the genuine. It will come with lume too lumpy and too raised, kind of ropey instead of a flatter fill inside the index groove, which will make the indeces look thinner; also, thinner LMP print with some kerning errors, and dial will be an aluminum disk instead of a brass one. The movement decoration on these is also incorrect, the OPII style movement in C & D series is the "paneraipanerai" engraved one like this:

The CDG style OPI/OPII came roughly with the late "G" and early "H" series. None of these are show stoppers deal considering what we have here overall.

Very well done, H-Factory, keep up the good work.

Way too many Panerai' are coming out lately.... At least for me to buy

I love them all. Sure there are some small tells but damn are these new releases super accurate!

Thanks Wolf. I'm getting myself a 61D. Worst case, I can use the parts to build myself the 40B I've always wanted.

Yes, 40Bs all over the world can rejoice.

That does not look like proper CG for C and D series handwind models ? Or am I missing something ?

Regards

I agree with w0lf, the cg looks pretty good.

Here's my gen 55c case/cg for reference... note radiused corners on the inner cut-out.

I wasn't talking about cut-out, but about profile. To me it looks too "fat". Not that it would prevent me from buying one of these beauties, but just in relation to: "Made with genuine as a sample" thing :)

This could be the titanium Pam I am looking for and as its closed back then the looks of the movement won't matter for me. The dial should be very good thou before I buy it.

I spoke to josh about making the base dial version of this. He seemed interested. Email him with your interest if you want one and made we can get it made.

A 55 and 40 could be the next logical step. But if they don't sell these models that just came out there will be no incentive to make other models that also require a dial & caseback redesign.

I also emailed him about a 55. 40 is going to be tough as I don't think they will get the dial numeral shape correct, plus the aged tritium look will be difficult.

Looking at the video and pics, i believe you are correct. It is more of a modern fat CG.. I honestly think the CG is not correct for the 61.

Received mine today. Here's what the dial looks like compared to an old school El:

I'm pretty happy with the quality, but will open it up shortly to check off 2 models from my build list.
