edgematic1 Posted May 19, 2013 Report Posted May 19, 2013 Built back in the day when men were men and more importantly, parts were available. Dial, hands, gaskets, crown, pushers, etc. And it is still going back one more time for Edge's fabulous datewheel. Lovely piece W! Post some pics when the DW is installed will ya? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HDI was just looking at everything tonight. The hands are a hold-up, but I've heard that there are a couple of gears that I need too. Which gears do you need? CptTripps Posted May 19, 2013 Report Posted May 19, 2013 Which gears do you need? I should have said "Wheel" instead of "gear". Domi said "Please make sure you have the hour and minute wheel with the movement"
gtanak Posted May 19, 2013 Report Posted May 19, 2013 What's a minute wheel? I thot only hour and CP required?
denisegold Posted May 19, 2013 Report Posted May 19, 2013 Interesting. I thought if one had a compete working watch then it was good? I have a working watch with LWO movement and am now wondering if I also need further parts....
edgematic1 Posted May 19, 2013 Report Posted May 19, 2013 Afaik what is needed is this:MovementHour wheelCanon pinionThis should be sufficient.Someone else who can confirm? The Zigmeister, Watchmeister, Daytona1984? I'm pretty sure though

I thought it was a straight drop in, other than case, movement holder mods??
edgematic1 Posted May 19, 2013 Report Posted May 19, 2013 What do you mean with fully working watch? You can't use the rep dial on an LWO movement if that is what you mean.

Watchmeister Posted May 20, 2013 Report Posted May 20, 2013 The point is that unless you buy a donor watch or movement with the dial and hands installed on the movement then the hour wheel and canon pinion willing be laying around as there is nothing to hold them in place. So any loose movement you buy will have them lying around separately or not at all.

CptTripps Posted June 5, 2013 Report Posted June 5, 2013 Those are the exact two dials I have! (The AP anyway) Or am I the 3rd owner of someone else's projects? I'll post pics when I get home. Why going gen is all worth it....

Projects never die. They just recycle. It is interesting as I have seen a recent rash of the older dials appear in my neck of the woods. The tough part is still getting the hands.
edgematic1 Posted October 17, 2013 Report Posted October 17, 2013 I have a set of gen hands for sale! They are in the sales section
buffedupboy Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/gauging-interest-for-153481.html Plans are under way as we speak....
Theknowledge Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 Ap parts are hard to source if you dont have a GEN, ADs check the serial numbers of what you are ordering. however for a premium, I sugest that you check out for real dials and straps; http://www.chrono24.de/audemarspiguet/teilezubehoere--acc.htm high prices, but can you put a price on a FRANKEN? Happy hunting, and the real attractive thing is the T3 dial, yet I have no idea what movement belongs inside??? anyone?? possible? TK
Dj_doshi Posted October 28, 2013 Report Posted October 28, 2013 I have a White Theme Gen Dial and Tachy with Gen Hands in Mint Condition which I am afraid I might be selling for funding a Gen :(
