Where in the world are you? Show me.....

There's an app called Photosynth that I use to capture 360 degree panoramas of places I go.  I think it's still free, so here's an idea:

How about if we use this thread to share Photosynth panoramas of "where we live"?

It would be a neat way to immerse ourselves "inside" a 3D panorama of another member's location.

I'll upload one from where I live so you can see what I mean.

Another one from a favorite climb, this is the north side of McHugh peak climbing out of the clouds. North Suicide peak and Ptarmigan peak are across the valley above Rabbit lake.

Nice panoramas gents!  I'm struggling getting them to view on my phone, so I tried uploading them to photosynth.net  and that might work a little better.  But it's still not what I anticipated for sharing them.

Give this a try:

I cant get any apps for my Sonim! So no can do on the panorama.

I need a bulletproof phone. An Android or Apple would not live long in my pocket on the mountain.

Try this guys:

I uploaded it to Photosynth.net and it makes it viewable from your browser! :Jumpy:

It's one of my favorite climbs, heading up Mt Baldy to cross over to the ridge line across the valley.  Check the lynx tracks in the snow.

Hi The_Rymeister. No, this picture is not from France. Not as exotic(?).

The picture is from Norway. Right outside of Oslo!

It was taken before the snow came.

Here's one from last week, digging snow caves with the Troop for the winter sports campout at Arctic Valley.

It was 12F and the wind was howling.  Right above us on the hill were a flock of white ptarmigan.  Too bad it was getting darkish and the camera didn't pick them up.
