freddy333 Posted April 4, 2013 Report Posted April 4, 2013 Got a good deal on a US-made, 70s jubilee bracelet that makes a nice change from my usual 7835. It needed a bit of restorative work, most of which I have completed, but I think the center (polished) links could use a bit more polish. In any case, I am not sure whether the jubilee adds a bit of an edge to a Newman or if it just looks out of place
cc33 Posted April 4, 2013 Report Posted April 4, 2013 I like it, it feels good to change things up sometimes, the clasp is killer!
seafoam Posted April 4, 2013 Report Posted April 4, 2013 I love the jubilee! So comfortable. Looks fantastic f333
freddy333 Posted April 4, 2013 Author Report Posted April 4, 2013 I appreciate the input &, yes, jubilees are definitely the most comfortable bracelets.
vlydog Posted April 4, 2013 Report Posted April 4, 2013 +1 on comfort and the killer clasp but I think it looks out of place on the Newman.
kbh Posted April 4, 2013 Report Posted April 4, 2013 +1 on comfort and the killer clasp but I think it looks out of place on the Newman. Agreed.
panerai153 Posted April 5, 2013 Report Posted April 5, 2013 Although they are super comfortable, i have never been a big fan of Jubilees. I supose they are OK, but I don't think they are the best choice for a Daytona.I LOVE your Daytonas though. You could wear those with a piece of hay twine and they would look good!!
SSTEEL Posted April 5, 2013 Report Posted April 5, 2013 That actually works quite well, in a modest way if you know what I mean. Does not stand out, but at the same some, compliments the watch itself
freddy333 Posted April 5, 2013 Author Report Posted April 5, 2013 The natural wear on the jubilee makes the watch look older & conjures up a narrative about the original Oyster band having gotten lost somewhere along the way
Stephane Posted April 5, 2013 Report Posted April 5, 2013 I'm with Vlydog Freddy. It looks "weird" on you beautiful Daytona...
