wiseguy1481 Posted May 20, 2013 Report Posted May 20, 2013 Hey guys, I have been searching the bay and other forums. What and where is the best place to source GEN bracelets to fit my TC Subs? I am looking for two (2) bracelets. Thanks in advance for the guidance.
panerai153 Posted May 20, 2013 Report Posted May 20, 2013 you are in the right places. outside of Ebay,Vintage Rolex forum, The Rolex Forum, Maybe TZ and WUS as well, the only other choice is to try to find one from a AD.
dan_189 Posted May 20, 2013 Report Posted May 20, 2013 A genuine bracelet is not wide enough to fit TC cases. You'll have to swap the TC SEL onto the genuine bracelet or use a Sean case Best of luck and ebay is a good place so if VRF prices vary between 600-1000 including a clasp. It's rare if you find just the bracelet without a clasp.
lja1821 Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 Thats going to be a tough task, but they can be sourced..good luck
6now Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 +1. Gen 16610 SEL is a little narrower on the TC lugs.
docthor Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 I would use a TC V3 with a gen clasp...best way to go with a TC Sub imho Sent from my wooden drums using Tupperware.
dan_189 Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 Lug width is the downfall of the TC when going superfranken
chibiunko Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 I would use a TC V3 with a gen clasp...best way to go with a TC Sub imho Sent from my wooden drums using Tupperware. +1 This is what I would do. But if you still want to spend upwards of 1k on a gen:http://www.network54.com/Forum/207673/message/1369152541/FS-+Rolex+93250+submariner+bracelet+full+links+with+SEL+in+NOS+condition+....+USD1150
dan_189 Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 Thats an excellent price I've seen worse condition ones on offer for more
panerai153 Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 Like the guys above said use a TC bracelet/SEL's and find a gen 93250 clasp. Even if you buy a 1k gen bracelet, you are still going to have to use the TC SEL's to fit that watch. Save some money and use it for something else like a gen crystal, insert. crown, etc. 1

SSTEEL Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 Keep your eyes peels for a clasp on TRF, they do come up for sale on their own from time to time.
wiseguy1481 Posted May 23, 2013 Author Report Posted May 23, 2013 Thanks guys and great advise... I currenlty have two (2) franken TC LV Subs (Gen crystal, insert, crown). Next on the list will be to install a gen clasp (as recommended) and then start looking for some gen movts.
