bamagrad03 Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=181175037592&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123 I tried to notify the seller that he may be selling a rep and he got all indignant and told me how Torneau just serviced it. Please tell me this is a rep, otherwise I need to apologize to the seller...
KneeDragger Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 I would say so. The helium escape valve is too low.
bclaud Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 It looks like a cheap rep, the gen is not coming with that foggy glass... Dial markers and numbers not crisp like gen.
docthor Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 This is a rep for sure...the orange (bezel, pusher) is not even close to gen, the pearl is far off, the hands and the dial are pretty bad...nuff said...
sgtguk Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 It's shite, proper shite tell him he's a fook wit and remove the thing
ceejay Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 He's selling 2 the same. Just lining up for a big hit and run! Only e-bay will take him down and they are [censored] at listening to educated people. We all suffer in the end when the ebay/paypal fee's go up again
bamagrad03 Posted July 15, 2013 Author Report Posted July 15, 2013 The seller was super indignant. Told me I didn't know what I was talking about and that he'd just gotten it back from a "5 point inspection" and appraisal from Torneau. This crap pisses me off so much. It's one thing to unknowingly sell a super rep that you got duped on. It's a completely other thing to try and steal money from people knowingly.
KneeDragger Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 I sent him a message asking for more clarification. Awaiting a reply. 1
madmex Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 Why not just message e-bay with the reasons we believe it's not genuine? We're the experts (well I haven't had a PO rep so Idk)
ashtree Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 Why not just message e-bay with the reasons we believe it's not genuine? We're the experts (well I haven't had a PO rep so Idk) I already have. Just have to leave eBay to sort it. Plenty of time left.
chaplin Posted July 21, 2013 Report Posted July 21, 2013 Dead bang its a fake. if you look at the seconds markers around the dial there are 4 smaller graduation lines between each second. genuine watch only has 3.
BlackBay Posted July 22, 2013 Report Posted July 22, 2013 Can't be more fake. Not even a decent V5. Well. I have no regret for the person who bought this. How stupid can you be.
bigballershotcaller Posted July 25, 2013 Report Posted July 25, 2013 Dead bang its a fake. if you look at the seconds markers around the dial there are 4 smaller graduation lines between each second. genuine watch only has 3. Are there any PO Chrono reps that have the correct 3 lines between the seconds? I am looking for a good rep but doesn't seem like they are there yet for this model...
