jack3 Posted July 24, 2013 Report Posted July 24, 2013 Just received this beauty(from wanted ad in sales) ! Tell me what you think of it ...also suggest any A quality strap that would fit this beauty (it has to be thicker than the ones i would use in a 44mm right?)
astonjenks Posted July 24, 2013 Report Posted July 24, 2013 Looks great. Yes you need a 26mm strap. The attached photo shows two incredible straps from Eric at Hamilton Straps. The one on the left is fitted to my brilliant Marlin built Fiddy. For the summer months I like a bit of colour
Mr.Majestyk Posted July 24, 2013 Report Posted July 24, 2013 Can't go wrong - it's CLASSIC! Not a big fan of the AMMO or vinatge straps, a nice BLACK buffalo or croc would look good - conservative but classy. Wear it well mate!
jack3 Posted July 24, 2013 Author Report Posted July 24, 2013 thanks mate! its an absolute beauty !it has gen crystal on,and i am looking to mod it further in steps..i am thinking of croc strap as well, not sure of the colour yet
gran Posted July 24, 2013 Report Posted July 24, 2013 Looks good indeed Eddie Lee is a legend. How is Eddie Lee these days? I bought a replica from him back in 2005 or so.....
watch.aholic Posted July 24, 2013 Report Posted July 24, 2013 I'd like dark chocolate gator or a vintage burgundy strap on it

Watchmeister Posted July 25, 2013 Report Posted July 25, 2013 I am old school. OEM Cashmere for me. They can be bought reasonably and I love the way they wear.
PeteM Posted July 25, 2013 Report Posted July 25, 2013 Cashmere Cashmere Cashmere Cashmere Cashmere Oh! and as an alternative CASHMERE !!!
astonjenks Posted July 25, 2013 Report Posted July 25, 2013 As an option to cashmere Pete, I do have a lovely dark blue croc I had made before i went to Ostrich if that might be of interest, its as new and will fit that Fiddy really well. AJ
jack3 Posted August 2, 2013 Author Report Posted August 2, 2013 Anyone can make a comparison between the Eddie lee and noob version?
hidefguy Posted August 6, 2013 Report Posted August 6, 2013 Anyone can make a comparison between the Eddie lee and noob version? I would like to see this as well. 1
Jkay Posted August 6, 2013 Report Posted August 6, 2013 When the Noob Factory made their super-replica, there were a few astounding reviews. Eddie Lee owners soon found, unfortunately, that their watches were not commanding super prices any more. If you want better than Noob nowadays, you need to see Marlin22 for a hand-built 1950.
mellons Posted August 6, 2013 Report Posted August 6, 2013 There was a comparison a while back when noob came out Noob just swung it but el was very close Always wanted to get one ... Never managed to snag one!
lfovco Posted August 8, 2013 Report Posted August 8, 2013 Looks good indeed Eddie Lee is a legend. How is Eddie Lee these days? I bought a replica from him back in 2005 or so..... Nice, me too... March 2005, Pam 111 was my first rep from Eddie Lee, still have it and wear it. But it had to be modded. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
jack3 Posted August 23, 2013 Author Report Posted August 23, 2013 marlin's modded just arrived!!now we need all the experts to make a detailed comparison next to the eddie lee version with gen crystal and swiss mechanism!enjoy! 1
