aa007210
Hi all, I consider to buy another Rolex sports model and still do not know the difference between a Noob or BP Factory. On pics I only see that the inscription in the clasp is difference. Noob has silver inscription and BP has black inscription of Rolex. Furthermore I found out that BP uses SuperLume on their dial and hands. But are these the only differences or are there more? I like to learn more about these factories.
Rolexman
Good question. I know there are also some spacing differences in the "officially certified" on the dial. Would love to know if there already is a thread about these two models somewhere....especially now that the new noob v2 is out. Despite my forum name I unfortunately know little about Rolex replica's.... I'm a generalist and not a specialist. Ideal would be: PROS/CONS for bp model PROS/CONS for noob v1-v2 model
irolexu
PROS ABOUT BP: Correct AR on cyclops Gen like construction Super luminova Thick font on DWO VERY nice pearl Tight rotating bezel case has a nice shape Great SEL CONS: Spacing between "officially certified" is not good Glide lock clasp is very poor tends to slip Is not water-tight out of the box Date seems to commonly misalign date mag too strong Crown guards are a little fat for noob factory sub: PROS: Great bracelet Dial is more correct Nice crown guards Water tight most of the time CONS: Cheap feel on bezel rotation Bezel is to thick date font is too thin date mag a little low poor SEL Luminova is not consistent and is a little purple Case shape is a little awkward stamped 18k?
martijnp
So BP factory is a better choice than Noob factory? How about BK?

irolexu
Yes. Another thing to note on pearl with noob is its also not very good. A noob is a great choice if your going to mod it and change things around. BP is an amazing out of box rep that doesn't need fine tuning unless you want it. Personally a BP sub with a noob bracelet is a perfect choice

irolexu
If you had some money to play with and some time to mod you could definitely make one heck of a nice subc with no gen parts harmed. My recipe to a perfect sub would be the following. -BP head -Noob buckle (SEL on BP is desirable) -BK dwo -Swiss ETA 2836-2 -Take down crystal gasket (too tall on BP) -Noob dial with BP markers Now that's a recipe for an amazing ceramic. You could buy a noob and a BP and make yourself the desirable one and sell off the other one and recoupe some money. I'd imagine you would be in that watch no more then 540.

irolexu
I have not seen v2 pearl in person but on the pic it wasn't very good looking but that could be for a number of reasons.

giobo
Guys noob has far far away better shaped case.Lugs are better cg's are better rehaut engraving is better bezel teeth are like gen.I am sure it will be better finish also.Dial is excactly like wm9 LV v3..In a hypothetical project I would get everything but the insert and crystal from it.Maybe the dial from tc LV v2.So except for the bad engraving on the bezel it is a clear winner otb..Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

benjji
hello guys I'm new here but I participate in another forum "your friend" .. I'm from italy and sorry for my bad english.. this my first message, therefore I hope this one does not violate the rules for the forum. I am going with Bp sub (no data 14606), from Sead or Ryan, or TT. I have read many pros and cons BP vs Noob. My question is only about look (appaerance) and brilliance of the black color of the dial: Bp dial is done well? I am referring to the color and the brilliance of silver' borders markers. is there great difference between Bp and NOOB dial ? I know the Bp defect "offcert" but in sub no date this is not a problem, there is more distance. I also hope that the last bp sub has good "shape" crown guards. the noob shape teeth is better.. Thanks Edited July 27, 2013 by benjji

aa007210
I ask Andrew about it. He said that the Noob Sub is running out and that he will ship the BP from now. He also said that the pics on the website aren't up dated every time so you need to wait till you receive the QC pics from him. The 'problem' with the space between officially and certified is solved The main difference he said is that BP use SuperLume and Noob does not. Furthermore the BP has a glass cladded pearl from now and all parts are interchangeable with genuine. So it seems to be possible to make a Franken Sub Date or Sub No Date from now. aa007210
Depends on the model. Precious Time and Toro do have some Noob models very cheap but they do not have the SuperLumed dial and hands. And these models do not give you the possibibility to change rep parts for genuine. I'm still contemplating pulling the trigger on the one just released by puretine!
