SSTEEL Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 I just tried to find the thread for you through google, but its not showing there either, only this thread.
SSTEEL Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 Just searched that members threads.. http://www.rwgforum.net/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=user_activity&search_app=forums&mid=25477&sid=c0aeac577716c76fe724f058621c3cad&search_app_filters[forums][searchInKey]=&userMode=title Nothing. You sure it was on these forums mate?
docthor Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 I guess I remember this thread...prdubis had a hard time for selling it...a very nice watch but for some reason it stayed pretty long in the sales area....
docthor Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 Here it is...no clue why one cannot find it via the search function...had to do it manually... http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/161400-200-eurosfs-rare-and-out-of-stock-no-date-classic-submariner-14060/
ghost Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 Why is it a franken? I've gone over the thread and can't find a compelling reason why it should be called so. Prdubis didn't call it so either...Am i missing out on something?
docthor Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 Well...one can call it franken cause it's built with parts from different sources, just like Frankensteins Monster And...it has a gen crown and tube There isn't any standard for franken watches...
docthor Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 @lacour...a little "thank you" would have been just nice...
Nanuq Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 Hey doc, I'll say it for the gang here ... Thank you! It's nice to see people helping out just for the sake of being friendly. Lots of folks here are like that, and I appreciate it.
ghost Posted September 20, 2013 Report Posted September 20, 2013 Not trying to make enemies here. In fact, i am trying to help. Too many people are listing their "frankens" at astronomical prices these days. Just hoping to stem this in the bud
automatico Posted September 20, 2013 Report Posted September 20, 2013 Maybe call 'em 'Fronkensteen' like in 'Young Frankenstein' 1974."No, it’s pronounced Fronkensteen.”"After 5pm slip brains through slot in door."
CLA82 Posted September 20, 2013 Author Report Posted September 20, 2013 Hi everybody - thanks alot for your help :-)
