Hi folks,

I just wanted to share this.
I visited Domi last week and I bought from him his new Daytona project
It is 6263 Paul Newman
- Swiss 7750 modified to 727
- Gen Pushers
- Plexi Glass made in Germany (excellent quality)

A beautiful watch and I'm very happy with it.

Ok R, you're wrong, the 7753 is the 3-6-9 configuration and the 7750 is 6-9-12. Both can have a date and the 7750 can have a day feature also.

I can't remember what the 7760 is but of course all of these are based on the 7750- maybe like you say the 7760 is manual.

There's also a 7765 and a 7751

Thanks for the explaination mate !!! :-) I always forget there is multiple layouts on the 7750 based movements !

About the 7760 I always seen Spinmaster talk about his "conversion" between 7750 to 7760 - so I suppose it's correct

Here's an article from Chuck Maddox

http://www.chronomaddox.com/valjoux_7750_engine.html

Like you say, the 7760 is the manual wind version of the 7750.

This article also refers to a 'tricompax' 7750 which is the layout also referred to as a 7753..

At any rate, the nice thing about fredy.g's watch is that it has a Swiss engine in it and not the asian 7750!
