New Navitimer update

Have you ever tried to advance the date 28 days by advancing the time? A little more than a minor inconvenience I'd say.

I have a non-quickset Datejust, so yes.  It's a PITA, but that's what a winder is for.

More concerning for me is inconvenience of the swap itself.  As I understand, the A7753's datewheel is very different from anything else.

Andreww, do you have a close enough relationship with any of the dealers who might be able to influence what the factories produce? Or do you know anyone who does? I've seen Angus reads a lot of feedback on Rep Geek, but not sure about the rest of the dealers. It seems logical for there to be a dialogue between the demand (buyers) and supply (factories). Then we would end up with the reps that we want most and the factories would sell more units. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just noticed there is now a 'Dark Blue' version available, added a few days ago. Am I right in thinking this isn't a replica of an actual gen? The blue 01 is a different shade, has a blue background on the date wheel/sub dials and a silver Breitling emblem... http://pureti.me/product/navitimer-01-11-ss-dark-blue-dial-on-ss-bracelet-a7750/ 8e3aryge.jpgabyryzen.jpg Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

The gen is a limited edition. And yes, the white and blue reps with contrasting subs do appear to be fantasy as I haven't seen them in gen form anywhere.

Rather bizarre thinking why make fantasy versions of such a crucial and difficult to replicate watch!

Honestly, I don't think that the new Navi is really worth the $358... for me it's more about $250-270... but... it definitely IS a huge improvement over the previous version.

I tried to sum up the pros and cons in another thread, long story short: it's not perfect, it's certainly no (so called) super-rep, but the best we can get now. At least one of the biggest annoyances is solved: now the sliderule is properly aligned! And heaven only knows when a better version will come out...

What makes me really angry with this version: the low beat movement inside... WTF?! Why on earth???

I really like the style of Breitling watches, and I like most the Navitimer series - and I'm (too?) curious... So I pulled the trigger 2 days ago and ordered the new Navi (black dial, of course...;)) and now I'm eagerly waiting for QC pics. I'm really curious about this version and will keep you posted!

This is the limited edition "Blue Sky", and she is pure porn!!! Saw her a couple of months ago at an AD, this blue is just awesome! A grey-silverish-blue (or you can call it steel-blue), just fantastic! Can't find the right words to describe this stunning colour...

I highly doubt that this colour, this effect, can ever be repped...

The movement is 21J?

No, not a 21J - it's an A7750 with working Chronos, but with only 21600vph / 6 ticks per second instead 28800vph / 8 ticks per second.

Referring to Angus: the maker did choose this movement for better decoration possibilities... on a closed caseback??? Not really understandable...

I have to check Toro's site, but I don't think it's the same we're talking about.

The "new" Navitimer is really brand new, up for sale only a few days ago on Puretime's site. The "older" Navitimer all have the A7750 high beat movement, and the "new" is only available with a decorated A7750 low beat - according to Angus statements on RG...

The new (low beat) Navi has an updated dial:

- Breitling logo on dial is now a golden badge (formerly it was printed)

- big chrono seconds hand is completely in red colour (formerly only the tip of the hand was in red)

- date wheel overlay is now in black with with numbers and correct font (formerly it was white with black numbers)

Wow! That thing looks amazing, 10x as nice as in the website photos. I really didn't expect it to be this good!

Looks like they have finally got the silverish/starburst white colour of the sub dials correct. The case is spot on too, the bezel looks very sharp. Plus the recessed date wheel looks less obvious with the black background. This is my next watch for sure, very jealous mate!

What I would really like to know is if it's frankenable - particularly the dial and slide rule.

I'm still quite not sure about the date font... I compared the pic from the website, my QC pic and pics from gen Navitimer - my conclusion so far: also the font from website-pic is not 100% correct; it's similar, but not the same.

Will inspect the watch when she is in my hands, there are also some other open questions, like how is the AR, how tight the bezel, how is the feel of the bracelet etc...

I ordered this one mostly because I'm curious - if I don't like her in general I'll just throw her in the m2m sale...
