aeromatic Posted December 4, 2013 Author Report Posted December 4, 2013 (edited) Yes Please !!!! Not much chance of a gen dropping in my lap ! not in this lifetime !!! Edited December 4, 2013 by aeromatic
aeromatic Posted December 4, 2013 Author Report Posted December 4, 2013 Nice Yuki case set but not much change im afraid from 1,000usd with the dial !
dbane883 Posted December 4, 2013 Report Posted December 4, 2013 I actually think the Yuki caseback is terrible.
freddy333 Posted December 4, 2013 Report Posted December 4, 2013 Unfortunately, the caseback is laser etched, which easily/instantly IDs it as a fake. Yuki's caseback is also flat & beveled like a modern Rolex, which is incorrect for a 'bubbleback' like the '42, which was more rounded & bevel-less

freddy333 Posted December 4, 2013 Report Posted December 4, 2013 Most (not all) aftermarket cases are assembled from off-the-shelf rep parts, which is why they often get so many obvious details wrong & also 1 of the reasons their prices are so ridiculous. In some cases, as mistakes are pointed out, the offending part gets exchanged for another part (often another rep part containing a different set of mistakes). It just seems to be the nature of the biz.

BradBMW Posted May 30, 2014 Report Posted May 30, 2014 That's $1000?!??!?! I think that's highway robbery.
droptopman Posted May 30, 2014 Report Posted May 30, 2014 My ultimate grail favorite piece of all time. Started a build when I first joined the forum a few months ago but abandoned it for a while to collect more knowledge. Doing a 16750 now but will get back to this at some point. The case sets on these vintage gmts are a real PITA. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
