beowolf Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 i was not expecting much. but this watch is amazing. i now know that this will not be my last pam.
OldeCrow Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 hehe Yup I bought a 111h thinking it would be just another rep ... I haven't taken it in the month since I got it!
TwoTone Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 My first was a 188 Daylight. Haven't decided on what my second will be. It's kind of funny actually, before finding this forum I hadn't even heard of Pams, and I have never seen one out in public!
Willith Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 Well, I'm glad you like you watch and wear it well. At the same time, I feel sorry for you because the Panerai bug has bitten another person and soon you'll find yourself with a lot less money and many more watches.
Indyclmbr Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 Well, I'm glad you like you watch and wear it well. At the same time, I feel sorry for you because the Panerai bug has bitten another person and soon you'll find yourself with a lot less money and many more watches. As a wise man used to say on OLD RWG, Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, Panerai. It's an illness and once you catch it, there's no hope. Your story is like many other RWG members before you. Climb on.
Willith Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 Next thing you know you'll start to look at your rep and think, "this looks really nice, I wonder how much a genuine would be"..... Then next thing you know all you have is genuine Panerai and you're thinking $3000-4000 for a watch is a nice price. Then you'll have a lot of cool watches and buy reps to do a "trial run" on your wrist to make sure you like the new watch and then you'll get more genuine and more reps. Oh while all this is going on you'll sell, trade and buy all kinds of new watches until your wife starts to ask you why you "need" so many watches. You'll tell her that they are cool and start to buy her watches to make her keep quiet because she'll like them too. Then you'll need a nice winder because you can't possibly wear all your watches and keep them all wound all the time. I won't even go into the strap/strap case collection......not that I have any experience with all of this.
8o8 Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 hehe gee all that sounds familiar I am *very* impressed with my 111H from Andrew. I just cant wait till i get rid of this rubber strap though... not a big fan of the rubber.
dcrooz Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 i was not expecting much. but this watch is amazing. i now know that this will not be my last pam. Who did you get it from out of interest?
Watchmeister Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 Rolex 2112 on old RWG started with PAM reps. And now - innumerable PAM gens. I went the other way. Started with gens, now I prefer good reps. But make no mistake, with the amount I have spent on PAM reps I could have had a couple of gens. But where is the fun in that?
tescardo Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 hehe gee all that sounds familiar I am *very* impressed with my 111H from Andrew. I just cant wait till i get rid of this rubber strap though... not a big fan of the rubber. Did your watch come with a buckle or butterfly clasp? Regards
beowolf Posted March 28, 2006 Author Report Posted March 28, 2006 Who did you get it from out of interest? I got it from Andrew. Great dealer. I know I will never pay 3,000 for a watch. Reps are all I need.
dadog13 Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 I know I will never pay 3,000 for a watch. Reps are all I need. that is correct...imagine spending 3000$ on reps...you could buy the whole collection of pam reps!
