panerai153 Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 No but it's nice to know that you have one that is from a smaller production run, they probably only made 25000 of these as opposed to a million of the others!!
By-Tor Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 That sounds like a watch I could buy. Perfection.Nothing beats the classic 16610 and the "Flat S" is great to have.
marrickvilleboy Posted January 21, 2014 Author Report Posted January 21, 2014 Agree with you all - The picture looks like a genuine sub to me, anyone with a contrast opinion? thanks
sputim Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 Thats a good deal. Flat s looks just awesome in my eyes and it's definitely a gen. Look at the SEL and date alignement is perfect. Rather go for this than for the one without boxes. In my eyes slightly used watches is not a problem, since polishing service offered by RSC is awesome. Looks like new afterwards and in my eyes no body is going to miss a few microns. When it comes to real vintage watches I would think twice about polishing
6now Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 thanks for replies - Its a 16610 Submariner from 2006, I have been told. However, I noticed it has a flat "s" which indicates a D-serial (which sets this to 2005 model)? Any experts can chime in here and let me know if this looks good? marrickvilleboy Posted January 21, 2014 Author Report Posted January 21, 2014 thanks guys - now I need funds lols the hard part!
By-Tor Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 Why polish them? They're tool watches.Light scratches belong to the Steel Sub. Why should it be pristine? You won't even see the small dents without very close inspection... the Oyster bracelet is very forgiving.
alligoat Posted January 22, 2014 Report Posted January 22, 2014 Just saw a nice K serial sub for $4,250 from Ashley Bowler on VRM- looks good and that's a pretty good price, no box or papers, but even if you have to service it, it's still a good deal
