Chronus
I don't know if anyone remembers the ultra-limited run of virtually accurate solid gold 18k FM Casablancas...I believe only 10-25 are/were in existence. I say virtually, but I think not even FM afficionado & expert, Archibald, could tell the difference! Definitely weightier than regular SS steel.. confirmed decorated (FM rotor) Swiss ETA 2892.. I probably replaced the (already great) strap with a better one that suits the colour, but I can't remember for sure. This was mightily expensive back then... and gold prices have risen a lot since then... and impossible to find. I really don't know what I was thinking back then, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity for something so accurate, although I think I have a gen Casablanca dial somewhere in any case Rarely worn, as I'm not really a gold kinda guy but still nice to look at Suffice it to say, I haven't had time to wear this as we have been apart in separate countries, but it's nice to see when I'm back. Here are some photos for your perusal... caseback Back 2 front: Size comparison with the Vegas (yes the Vegas has a plastic covering on the crystal). Chronus
Hey your PMs are full too... these are not produced anymore, sadly, but I guess they would be so expensive these days, with the higher gold prices.
astonjenks
You simply have to try an FM if you have not already. I got this piece recently from a great member and am delighted with it, it fits my 8 inch wrist really well. Beautiful watch you have there. Camaro
Ive never heard of a solid 18k rep. Very, very cool. Give it some wrist time, it deserves it! More out of curiousity than anything, when were these produced?
