dbane883
You could just use dial dots.
SSTEEL
Funny you should mention this, I did reply to you next door about some TC subs having a white paper very thin spacer on the movement ring. I have just been working on another TC sub, and it has both a white ring on the movement holder, AND a dial spacer, its the first time I have seen this.. White paper ring.. Dial spacer.. janeto72
A "sticky" white paper spacer is used when there is not enough clearance between the back of the dial and the DW/O.This is to allow the date mechanism to turn the DW properly without it striking the back of the dial surface. Due to many variables, including tolerences in the manufacturing of different parts, manual assembly and fit and finish....some kind of dial spacer makes it easier to provide adequate clearance.I have been using the spacers for years.....makes life a lot easier during assembly of all kinds of watches.. The dwo on this TC sub could be a BK dwo, which would explain the extra spacer.
watcher
Last tc I built needed the dw overlay spacing away from the movement so it did not foul the mechanism. I used dial dots which created a perfect gap between overlay, movement and dial. It was the tc2824 by the way but I think the same issue exists in gen eta too
