I don't really like getting involved in politics, as I do Not class myself as too knowledgeable in this field, but it does seem at the moment the Russians are pushing the limits a little.

Although technically being in international airspace has no wrong-doing??

Life's a [censored], then you marry one!

Your right but at these times Danish swedish and dutch and english was all up because it was pushing it to the limit the russian planes were lilley on a training mission to bomb key places in swe why do that and why do that without asking permission first i personally Think Putin is up to something really bad but hope not with a baby on the way so really dont want another war deployment

Well well seems one of our own on the front line, be careful mate. Yes Russia playing it pretty rough these days, but for those of us who lived through the cold war this was business as usual between warsaw pack and Nato.

It might end up Being the cold war all over again sadly

Can't imagine what it must be like in that situation. I hope with it being 2014, and politics generally resolving things we won't have a major war.

For those of you that are believers, it was said ww3 would exist...

True true but in a way maybe that is what is wrong with the World its all the politics hehe ;)

Thanks for sharing the news, did not hear this otherwise. Anyway not a wartime szenario yet - must´ve been thrilling - and one step closer to promotion/honourable mention etc. Hope common sense prevails on all sides.

One of the largest German media outlets Der Spiegel actually ran a story about that http://spon.de/aedqE. Cool to hear a first hand account of what happened. :)

I'm by no means a fan, but I can understand Putin in a way. Very few governments will stand constant outside berating and broken promises. Things have definitely gone out of hand over there though but being that he's ex-KGB to the bone I don't see him backing down anytime soon.

I know war (or the perceived threat of) boosts industry and jobs, but it will mean massive spending on new technologies, plants, factories, research, etc, plunging every country involved further into debt, and almost the whole damn world is far too overdrawn at the moment.

It'll end up with countries like China with next to no debt, huge reserves of their own fossil fuels and turning into the huge world mega corps of the next century, with the US, UK, Russia, upto their noses in debt to China, etc.

Think they flew into Scottish airspace too, up off the Shetland isles, where we keep our oil! That's slightly worrying, especially as we are voting on independence very soon!

Hope you're there to save our butts too Ezio!!

I see your point fraggle im thinking the World is tired of war Irak and Afghanistan (was there myself ) People dont really feel it was a succes and us is planning ti Cut the military to standards post World war 2 and EU Think They can talk the problems out we have forgot how to handle problems inside of EU many countries train They military to handle international missions not problems close to our borders and EU and NATO comfort zone lies just behind Ukraine so They dont want to make a Big problem out of it They try to handle it like its a small problem but its a Big problem

In World war 1 there was a us general They Said something like this when the germans gave up it has no point to stop now and lay down our weapons now if we dont march straight in to BERLIN They wont learn anything and do it again not many years later World war 2 broke out so he was right i Think its the same now the cold war didnt have a winner so we still have to find out who is the cat and who is the mouse

Don't forget to post a wristie when u tailgating the Russian jet ;)
