davids100 Posted May 8, 2014 Report Posted May 8, 2014 Seriously???: http://www.ebay.fr/itm/ROLEX-DAYTONA-16520-ZENITH-EL-PRIMERO-4030-YEAR-1999-SERIAL-A-NO-BOX-PAPERS-/251525388597?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item3a9014d935
davids100 Posted May 8, 2014 Author Report Posted May 8, 2014 the guys sells 4 of them for 6500 euros... all Zenith engines, literally
cbertison1103 Posted May 8, 2014 Report Posted May 8, 2014 He has same pic for 4 16610s. Ebay is a joke they let ppl sell this crap
irolexu Posted May 9, 2014 Report Posted May 9, 2014 So he says 100% original yet the movement says zenith. Yes while technically Rolex used a zenith movement but I'm sure Rolex also took the time of day to remove "zenith" from the movement no? Lol this guy...
alligoat Posted May 9, 2014 Report Posted May 9, 2014 Rolex took the Zenith movement and numbered it 4030, engraved the plates and rotor w/ Rolex and changed the beat from 36,000 to 28,800. Also, as was indicated, the date function was removed. So yes, this guy is a clown trying to sell a franken as a real Rolex. And like was said above, he's trying to sell four 16610s with the same four pics- the guys a scammer!
davids100 Posted May 9, 2014 Author Report Posted May 9, 2014 No confusion, that´s exactly what I was pointing out. How comes a clown like this guy keeps selling his stuff on eBay? Envoyé de mon iPhone à l'aide de Tapatalk

Mike on a bike Posted May 9, 2014 Report Posted May 9, 2014 No one at E-bay has the knowledge to call them out, you think. What is common knowledge in our little world is horological expertise on a level only seen in master watch smiths. We eat sleep and breath this stuff. 1
Valty Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 Rolex took the Zenith movement and numbered it 4030, engraved the plates and rotor w/ Rolex and changed the beat from 36,000 to 28,800. Not exactly... http://www.orologeria.com/italiano/rivista/rivista019.html Cheers
davids100 Posted May 12, 2014 Author Report Posted May 12, 2014 Great source Valty, I didn't figure out the huge number of work Rolex did to customize the El Primero Envoyé de mon iPhone à l'aide de Tapatalk
