Nanuq Posted May 19, 2014 Report Posted May 19, 2014 I was out on Beluga Point today watching the tide go out, a marvelous bluebird day. Here's a panorama I did, enjoy!http://photosynth.net/view/2b295b99-64ae-439e-8f5c-7aad9f5cd4e9
Nanuq Posted May 23, 2014 Author Report Posted May 23, 2014 See what you're missing? Get your butt up here for some fresh bear steaks! The tidal current was flowing by out there past the other rock about 15mph, and behind me up on the mountain were 6 Dall sheep. Too bad the app couldn't zoom in on them!
gran Posted May 23, 2014 Report Posted May 23, 2014 Beautiful to watch! Great to see that spring is well on its way over there Rob. Greetings from Norway

Nanuq Posted May 24, 2014 Author Report Posted May 24, 2014 Thanks gents, you should see it in the Spring when the ice breaks up and the tide starts to move it out. Sitting on that same spot, there are blocks of sea ice the size of houses churning around banging into each other and hitting the rocks. THAT is impressive.
