hunvaakaren Posted July 9, 2014 Report Posted July 9, 2014 Hi, guys i was wondering if Sean yachtmaster case take gen parts? Like gen crystal, gen dial and yuki 3135? I bought this gen blue dial, is this the right one for my 40mm Sean case? It looks so small in the package. See part number for the dial. Thanks.
tomhorn Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 The dial should fit a Sean case as it's gen spec. If you are not using a gen movement, then you will have to clip the dial feet. You will probably also have to re-lume the hands to make them match the dial as the Sean YM had weak lume. If the watch above is the Sean case you're using, then you also need to add a crystal with a cyclops.
hunvaakaren Posted July 10, 2014 Author Report Posted July 10, 2014 Ok, thanks. The platinum dial and hands are relumed. But the new dial i have is blue lume, and i have the gen hands with blue lume. Going for a yuki 3135, gen crystal with AR'd cyclop and LEC at 6.
droptopman Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 That will be a very nice build Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
hunvaakaren Posted July 10, 2014 Author Report Posted July 10, 2014 Thanks, but the question is: is this dial for the 40mm YM or 35mm? It looks so small in the package.
sneed12 Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 (edited) Worth noting that all gen blue dial YMs have rehaut engraving, and the sean case does not. Neither does the TC case, so there does not exist a decent YM case as a base for this build, which is why I haven't done one yet. Edited July 10, 2014 by sneed12
hunvaakaren Posted July 10, 2014 Author Report Posted July 10, 2014 Nice, watch ) i dont like the rehaut engraving so that is okay
alligoat Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 I certainly wouldn't let a little thing like rehaut engraving stop me from building that watch- look forward to seeing it!
