Mark Whinn
What would the norm service cost for a Swiss Eta 2836-2 auto ?
jpz5142
Prices vary, depends where you are located, what the watch tech is going to do/replace. There are a few watch repair guys on the forum in different areas of the world, reach out to one of them and ask for a quote.

GenTLe
In IT they vary from 70 to 120€ (of course I'm speaking purely of disassemble / clean / oil / reassemble / regulation / waterproof of the watch). This is valid for ETA and Asian clones as they're pretty much the same to work on. If there are also reparations to do then you'll never know before the caliber is getting opened and the problem identified... Don't think in UK the prices will be much different
markiemark
Not sure if he's still on a vacation, but contact SSTEEL. He's my man in EU and is recommended by other members across the boards as well!

automatico
In the USA a small independent shop usually charges around $75 to c/o an automatic Eta 28xx 'carry in' movement needing no parts. High overhead shops will charge more. 'Carry in' = movement is all together with stem and date wheel, no missing parts, no dial, no case. Installing dial and hands may be a little more. They may not guarantee the work because they have no control over handling/installation.
