Nothing major planned right now beyond just a basic aging of case, dial, and hands. Who would you buy a 5517 rep from? I had it narrowed down to: 1. Perfect clones 2. Trusty time 3. Bc1221 Posted September 12, 2014 Report Share Posted September 12, 2014 Last time I checked with PT, they had no vintage subs or seadwellers in stock. I've been asking about once a month all summer. Trusty and PC has the same stuff but trusty I think is a little cheaper. I have a few cartel 1680s which come in 5512 cases and they're not bad. Don't know about their 5517s but I do remember seeing them. I think they sell the ones with the optional lug holes. Meaning they're perforated or something and you can drill through them. Gem should have no lug holes but I'm sure you knew that. You'd need to source some better gen looking hands. The minute hand is wrong. I think some people use omega hands. Good luck and post pics. Add some sword hands from Rafflestime, dial from ingod44 or Yuki. Bezel insert from WSO and pearl from Yuki. NATO strap from Phoenix. 703 crown and tube set, alternatively a rep 702 set from Athaya.
