dwswatches Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 I am looking for a trusted watch repairer to fix my Franken Day-Date in the UK?
tomhorn Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 (edited) Nevermind ... looks like he flamed out. Edited October 22, 2014 by tomhorn
astonjenks Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 Use Micky (SSteel) he's an English guy based in Finland and is as good as they get! The UK guys are ok however seem not to be quite on top of things currently. Regards AJ
tomhorn Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 I pointed you to the thread over at RG about someone working in Oxford station, but did not read it. After reading the last couple of posts, it looks like that guy went South in a hurry.

After reading the last couple of posts, it looks like that guy went South in a hurry. The guy is snowed under and can't cope with the workload. He has done some ok work on a few of my reps and still has one. Personally, I'd put his services on hold and look to SSteel or the like.
astonjenks Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 On a purely selfish note, dont use SSteel or he'll simply to get too busy to perform hi sbrilliant work on my watches :-) AJ
coffindodger Posted October 24, 2014 Report Posted October 24, 2014 +1 on Ssteel top guy , he will sort all your problems.
dwswatches Posted October 24, 2014 Author Report Posted October 24, 2014 Sorry, I don't understand, can you send me an e-mail.
d1ngle Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 Just go to a second hand watch repairer. That's what I do with my reps in the UK. Watch is a watch and most watch repair shops don't refuse reps.
