schumi1
Hi everyone: Just purchased a new Datejust II & wanted to get peoples thoughts The reason I purchased this is because of the beauty of the dial. To my knowledge light blue dials are only used on their highest end watches Daydate II Platinum / Daytona Platinum The fact that it shares that makes it have more appeal and an expensive feel. The dial IMO is stunning, I love Roman numerals, very chic and classic Rolex I think Rolex is one of the only watches that can use roman numerals, i maybe wrong but when i think of it i can't think of another brand that uses roman numerals. Patek and AP don't have for sure. Back to the dial One thing I noticed is the different shades it has in different light settings. (indoor, outdoor) Kindly feel free to give me your opinion Thank you

schumi1
Thank you guys @bc1221 I would love to help with crystal but can't lol @charlieUk thanks man These new DJ kill the daydates IMO They look exactly the same. Same bezel. Same size
Bc1221
Hehe. Understandable. I do love the DJII way more than I thought I would. I got it in a trade. Figured I'd try it out. It's a rep but a damn good rep honestly. The only problem is the LEC is typical rep LEC and the bezel gasket is stretched so the bezel doesn't sit completely flush. Only noticeable to the OCD folks like me. Seems to be gen spec build. Here's a pic Even the rehaut lines up pretty well.
schumi1
Is that a rep ? Looks nice I think the dial color is a tad darker Markets looks a tad wider too But like u said only people here would mnow By the way u can a gen dial for that. So many around. 500$
Bc1221
Yea. It's a rep. The dial color changes quite a bit (my fat part) I've seen it go from a deep purple to a light blue. Really love the design. The markers seem fine to me. I wouldn't mind a relume one of these days to get the right colors. It's all green and I believe the markers are supposed to be blue. For a rep though, it hits all the marks minus the no ar cyclop. Not a fan of the clasp so I'm gonna prob switch it to a gmt clasp. Need that double lock! I always feel like it's gonna fall of my wrist. I would have never ordered it tbh. It just wasn't my thing but it came up in a trade and once I had it on my wrist it was all over with. Need to get a new crystal. The one I have is foggy at certain angles and it drives me mad. Gen crystals are too pricy. Tryin to see if clark has one. schumi1
Looks nice anyway I would put a gen dial on it to be honest Make a world of differnce
Bc1221
Gen dials for the DJII are waay too expensive right now. They're on eBay for like $800 bucks. The rep dial looks great honestly. I'd get a gen crystal before a dial. Those are going for $500 so I'll prob just pop a Clark's on there.
