Patek with a $5 strap

This seems completely crazy, but I love this combo for some reason. Literally a $5 strap on a $$ watch. Would anyone else wear this combo or is this crazy in your opinion?

I do things like that, as well. My gen Omega Speedy is on a nylon strap from time to time, which looks quite cool.

Hmmmm....a cheap strap is lookin good on a Blancpain FF or on a Tudor, but putting a cheap strap on a Patek is really a no-way IMHO....like an Aston Martin with fabric seats

I have to agree. This is the perfect example for a socially constructed perception.  PP is the brand associated with wealth. Remeber the ad about never owning a PP, just taking care of it so as to pass it to the next (family) generation.   The fabric strap makes it look affordaable and disposable.  Pretty much like a like a fashion piece by Swatch or Fossil. Nothing wrong with these, but ...

I think it's good to try and switch straps on watches. But I think a Patek should be on a nice leather strap

In my honest opinion, yes this looks better!

Well,.. do like all kind of straps, but this one would be nicer on leather. Some vintage Pateks look great on braided nato straps. 

Also wear some watches on cheap straps like lately my JLC.

I personally really like that braided NATO strap, it is a nice contrast to the watch face.
