tomhorn
Have this DW v72 dial in my parts bin. Wondering if anyone can shed any light as to whether or not it's from one of his good batches? Printing of the 40 isn't great and a couple of the letters in Daytona are lacking. Looking for a decent dial (without going gen of course), but not sure this is it.
freddy333
Replace the coronet with a gen & it should fly.
lhooq
This is pretty nice. The subdial dishing and printing is much better than what you'll find in some later DW dials. The red "Daytona" looks a bit ropey, though, so if you could figure out a way of scraping the rest off, I think you'd be left with a much improved appearance. tomhorn
Thanks gents! It was sold to me as being from his earlier batches, so glad it appears so. Good idea on removing the "Daytona". Might be a good option if I end up using it.
Nanuq
Sorry for the lousy quality but here's a shot of my first DWs. One is part of the first shipment of 5 he sent to North America, the other is from a year later. They ought to give you a taste of an early look.
