mmonesix Posted January 13, 2015 Report Posted January 13, 2015 Was surfing eBay for spare parts and came across this "gen" 16610 bezel insert. The pearl looks off to me, but I admittedly have a tough time telling with this one. Legit or no?

jigelow Posted January 14, 2015 Report Posted January 14, 2015 Pretty sure I recognize that seller. They let go of a lot of items at reasonable prices because of nicks here and there. Everything I've seen of theirs has appesred to ve gen, including your insert.
mmonesix Posted January 18, 2015 Author Report Posted January 18, 2015 Suspicions confirmed: insert is not "gen" Rolex Sub 16610. Both inner and outer diameters are too small, and it will not clear the crystal - bad enough that it cannot even be considered that something might be a tad bit out of spec. This thing is BS from the start. Looks like TC's new insert is in store.
dbane883 Posted January 18, 2015 Report Posted January 18, 2015 Hmmm. It's quite possible it's a 14060 insert then. The dimensions of OD and ID are both smaller than 16610. If the OD is roughly 36.5 mm and ID is 29.7mm, then it's for a no-date 14060.
