cc33
That's a robert Maron special! Fake dial and a milgauss bezel Did you photoshop his fake 2 liner?
rolojack
You got it wrong mate: I did the photoshop to see how an early sub looks like with a smooth bezel and I'm asking you guys if this looks interesting ! I'm thinking of using a JMB case and mod it to match the 6538 look, and fit in a HR dial.........
rolojack
the 4 lines is because I just got a 4 line dial from dazza.... but I could erase some and just keep the "submariner" like earlier models...
cc33
I wasn't accusing you of anything I just recognized the watch. It looks good but a 6538 looks epic with its intended coin edge bezel, To each their own! Just to add I have a personal gripe with mr Moron, he flooded the market with these fake italian job dials and mated them to genuine 6538's to really F with everyone
rolojack
I could't agree more. I actually picked his picture because the coronet shape is closer to HR coronet than the gen.... Problem with the coin edge bezel is it is near impossible to find a good one at a decent price.... Not talking about the insert. Since the 50's have seen many unexpected variations in terms of mix and match of parts from different models either at Rolex or from their retailers, the step I'm about to take is still rational. I think. Anyways, dial is on its way, and I'm still debating what case I should use.
508-Fanatic
he sold a bunch of "not exactly genuine" Rolex's to John Mayer and others, including my boy David Ortiz... Yet he still commands authority and respect... He just sells high-end Franken's 1/3 of the time if he cant source what the client wants 100% gen. Boxsash
Hi Rolo I think the flat bezel it's an interesting idea. It sounds like your up for a new fresh challenge with your next build. You must have most of the classics in your collection. I have seen a few posted. It would be interesting to see a group shot of your collection
