Just to add something: I queried the guy about a custom one for my Pam288k which has a weird 26.5/20mm sizing. He quoted it 55$ shipped.

These come from Vietnam. No way customs won't swallow them here in Germany. Besides, the leather is most probably from protected wild animals.

That is a great price mate! I'm consindering of getting one for my PAM005 which is on the way at this moment

These come from Vietnam. No way customs won't swallow them here in Germany. Besides, the leather is most probably from protected wild animals.

I can't say about German customs: surely on the little parcel (15×7×2cm) it is not written "custom made strap DONE WITH ENDANGERED PROTECTED SKIN". Only the lowercase part. Here it passed without any check (declared 10€ value).

About the protected animal: in 2008 in the surroundings of Ho Chi Min there were around 115000 farmed crocodiles (they farm them also for the meat which they eat).

Thx. Very interesting, and I stand corrected. German customs are crazy though especially where I live. Recently I had to pay import tax for a piece of soap that I "imported". Edited April 16, 2015 by gasebah
