GenTLe Posted April 15, 2015 Report Posted April 15, 2015 Well, I am kind of satisfied, especially considering I paid less than 40$ With a different light: Here the source:http://m.ebay.it/sch/vydzua/m.html?_pgn=1&isRefine=true Cheers
GenTLe Posted April 16, 2015 Author Report Posted April 16, 2015 A better link: Try this, maybe the Italian eBay link has some problem in your country (or maybe it was the mobile site link)http://stores.ebay.com/Sobek-Alligator
alligoat Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 Not a bad deal- thanks for sharing! Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam! Old farts like me still think of it as Saigon!
martijnp Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 That's a great looking strap mate! Thanks for sharing the link. I also like those iPhone covers!
GenTLe Posted April 16, 2015 Author Report Posted April 16, 2015 Thanks. Just to add something: I queried the guy about a custom one for my Pam288k which has a weird 26.5/20mm sizing. He quoted it 55$ shipped.
gasebah Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 (edited) These come from Vietnam. No way customs won't swallow them here in Germany. Besides, the leather is most probably from protected wild animals. Edited April 16, 2015 by gasebah

I can't say about German customs: surely on the little parcel (15×7×2cm) it is not written "custom made strap DONE WITH ENDANGERED PROTECTED SKIN". Only the lowercase part. Here it passed without any check (declared 10€ value). About the protected animal: in 2008 in the surroundings of Ho Chi Min there were around 115000 farmed crocodiles (they farm them also for the meat which they eat). Recently I had to pay import tax for a piece of soap that I "imported". Edited April 16, 2015 by gasebah
