Akira Posted April 22, 2015 Report Posted April 22, 2015 ...at least or me! In 2012, when DW was still reliable, I commissioned him to produce a 6265 black dial 'non-Sigma'. The one that's pictured in the RDALB Book: I paid for a prototype dial, which was delivered to me a few weeks later. A nice dial, even though the subdial paint was kinda fragile and already fainted at two subdials. Who gives right? It's vintage after all. Then communications got rocky and DW disappeared... So I was left with one dial, even though a lot of members wanted one back in the days. Anyways, I started gathering parts again and kept them warm and cozy for more than another year Yesterday, after weeks of tweaking, filing and re-luming - I finished her. Parts: Cartel 6263 reshaped Cartel hands relumed DW dial DW bezel Genuine coronet Genuine 702 crown Genuine T21 Athaya tube Cousins UK pushers The greatest thing for me is that I was able to make the Cousins pushers work. Don't ask me how, as it was an ugly fight. However, the pushers work and the chrono runs and resets perfectly! Now, to the pictures: 1

ogladio Posted April 23, 2015 Report Posted April 23, 2015 Great story and great Daytona, a shame if this really is the last... The aged subdials and gen coronet on the dial and the clear crystal really makes this pop!
Akira Posted April 23, 2015 Author Report Posted April 23, 2015 a shame if this really is the last... I've finally run out of parts Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
