first attempt at aging a bezel insert

Recommended Posts

So I bought a inexpensive cola Rolex with the idea of playing around with it and not really caring if anything goes wrong.  Anyway I did not like the look of the bright red bezel insert and dial, so I started by replacing the insert with a black one but I found the new insert to be too black, too shiny and new for the watch so I tried my hand at aging the bezel insert.

I think being a dentist helps, I am used to working on small precise things, and using loups!!!

the problem is I bought a dial to put in this watch, but I have grown to like the cola dial so now I am not going to replace it anymore!!!
