kernow
Respect is earnt not given. The same goes for trust; it takes time to build it up. In the meantime new members should join in with the conversations going on in the various discussions. This helps establish their reputation. I for one am wary of a new member with a low post count jumping straight in with a sales thread.
Mike on a bike
Kernow true , being involved is key also. I will give you guys an example of a member with no feedback that I would sell/buy to/from without reservation "cavi' been here just 6 months 352 posts, I know what he does for a living, what watches he bought (uses TDs) , and what watch his son wears. Others may not know him as well but as I am here a lot I do, if they contacted me in regard to do a deal I'd say "go". It's not all about feedback on deals. Interaction and being part of the community proves that you're investing time being here and are likely to be more trustworthy. Right!!! But wait… I sent you $100 too!!! Wait… what? In all seriousness, if you play smart and use your gut, that'll get you at least 90% there. There are great suggestions here and even greater lessons learn on this forum. When in doubt, send a PM to an established and respected member asking if they know anything about the individual in question. That should get you the remaining 10%.
