ekallus
Mine is due to arrive on Monday. Can anyone tell me what size of springbars will fit, without drilling the lug holes?
Tiyal
Liking mine. When I get home, add 580s & do the TC clasp thing and a Clark and leave it. Maybe the insert. By the way, not waterproof at all. Not even slightly, mine picked up moisture from the nato. So check your gaskets.

They were sitting around for a while so it makes sense
lacogil
I'll check mine out when it comes in. Are they supposed to be waterproof? All gaskets where they should be? Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
Nanuq
Check your gaskets, I've gone swimming with my 1680 already lots of times, no leaks.
lacogil
Mine came in today. Looks really good! The bezel was free spinning so I added the tension spring from the HR bezel I had and now it works perfect. I don't know enough about Rolex case shapes to say how gen it is, but I'm gonna throw a t19 on it, a nice bracelet and call it a day. ldegeneve
If anyone of y'all plans to switch out your dial to something else, let me know. I'll take it off your hands. I also have a Yuki 5513 meters first dial that was superlumed by PbDad if anyone is interested.
marrickvilleboy
interesting to see how your dial has the submariner on the top....
lacogil
Is it incorrect to have the submariner on top? I've seen some online with it like this. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

lacogil
I've searched and can't find it anywhere (for a 5513 with meters first). Kind of a bummer. Probably will just sit in the watch box. If anyone is interested let me know. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

hologramet
There seem to be severak different types of the same dials/insert etc.. I have a small pearl and the same flat + kissing 4-insert as some others on a 5512. "Vietnam" gilt dial Drill the lug holes, Rework the cg to pointy, Throw on a athaya 700-tube + crown Add an athaya pearl TC-hands 16613 Clarks T19-superdome
username here
There are a few old threads talking about altering the dial color. Most used iodine and baked the dial for a few minutes. Does anyone have updated ideas on how to age the dial, or is the iodine method the best? I want to darken the indicies of my 5513.

lacogil
Thanks I won't be keeping the 5513. Will be up for sale once I get enough posts. I didn't want to invest in a new dial after building up the 5517 so I'm just gonna let it go. My fault for not paying attention to the details!
