Alan72 Posted September 27, 2017 Report Share Posted September 27, 2017 So after practicing builds with silix and he cases I finally took the plunge and got a nice Vietnam case and dial and put together a nice 6538 sub.I used a 2824 movement with h4 cannon pinion I sanded the nickel plating from the bezel and aged the insert a bit and added an athaya pearl (the colour dried lighter than I wanted tho)I aged the hands (maybe too much) and I think I will add a big ball second hand soon,Overall I'm pretty happy with how it turned out Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Alan72 Posted September 29, 2017 Author Report Share Posted September 29, 2017 (edited) So I had a bit of trouble with the new big crown last night, I was staring at it and flicking the light off of the gilt dial and admiring my grail watch and the wife got the hump with me and asked if I was bored and why am I staring at the time constantly, I tried to explain that I was just admiring the watch I'd built, she didn't get It, she then said 'So much for date night then you sad w@nker And then took herself off to the spare room.
