ARF 126600 Rolex Sea Dweller opinions

What do you think of the updated ARF 126600 Sea Dweller please?

I know there were some issues with the hands length, and also the smudging of the "28" date number but these appear to have been fixed with recent batches.

I am keen on purchasing this, but I am not expert on Rolex models, and will like to seek your expert opinions before taking the plunge, thank you kindly.

And which version are you ordering from Sead please? 

I like the fact that the gen 3235 caliber now sets time in the same direction as an ETA movement. One tell eliminated.

ARF 2836 904L , From what I hear its the best and one of our members has one and the SELs are just as tight as my gen 216570

The one thing people are confused about is the hands motion.  It is true that the new rolex movement adjusts just like a 2824 but the quick set is different. The new rolex works a lot like the 3030 family.  Where on quickset one way winds and the other moves the date.  Where the ETA one way doesn't do anything while the other way changes the date.

 

So yes. It is nice but detectable.

 

I look forward to getting this watch and throwing a real ETA maybe relume hands and dial and call it a day.

Mate, does it mean 3235 has only 2 crown positions? 1st for manual winding/date quickset, and 2nd for the time setting?

I tried asking my dealer for the A2836 version and she said only the A2824 version is available now. Do you have better luck than me sourcing the A2836 version through Sead? Thank you.

@occb2 does the date switch for the 2824 bother you as it does my click over instantaneously like the 2836 (and Rolex cal. 3235/3135 etc)?

My Mistake there is only the 2824 for the ARF and since I'm so use to the date change on the 2824 I don't mind, I'm not usual looking at a watch at midnight. Also whenever you see an advert for the BP SD 16600 classic with 2836 it's really a 2824

I would only get the ARF they seem to be really making a great watch and the date wheel has improved

for this watch.  I’ve read a lot of the reviews on RWI before it went down.  This is under consideration for super rep/ nwbig status 

 

let me know now what you guys think.  

 

Ive asked for a pic of the date on 28... let’s see if they send it over or if they conveniently ship out before they are able to take the pic

I’ve heard that arf is better than vrf.   RWI had an in depth review and on going discussion.    Based on the QC pics sent from puretime, the watch looks very good

New to this forum, in fact new to reps. Really confused on all the different movements, have only owned gens so far and those movements are always a delight.
