Gmt 16753 dial gen or rep?

Start with Rodico and see if that helps. It's that putty like substance watchmakers use to clean with.

Beyond that, I don't know if a bit of mineral spirits on a toothpick or pegwood would work.

Other fluids like ethanol, lacquer thinner, or acetone might be too risky.

Try google and see what comes up for cleaning watch dials

The scratches indicate that the dial was mishandled at some point. But certainly vintage watch collectors like those type of age marks and wouldn't touch them. So it really comes down to what your personal preference is. I'd probably give the Rodico a try and if it didn't work, leave well enough alone. Once under a plastic crystal, they might not be that noticeable.

I'm also going to order a 2836 asian gmt when I have a bit more more money. I went on a crazy spending spree this weekend, got a bunch of rolex parts.. gonna have to let some of them go now that iv finally decided what I'd like the build, which finding that dial helped lol

Boy I wish I had the chance to mess with real rolexes kn my, but then I wouldnt have to build what I want if I could have a real one... so question.. where there 2 types of bezels used for the 1675? I'm gonna have to google the dimensions on the 16753 case so I get the right one too.. I feel like I'm going into this blind, for it's pretty fun haha

Can anyone give me a link to the R factory?
Or a link to that specific watch if you dont mind?

i believe there was an old 16713 or 16753 root beer rep made but isn’t really good quality but i believe that it’s the closest you can get for a complete case set

Haha yeah I kinda figured r stood for rolex... lol

Kind of an in joke, sorry. Whilst reps have got unbelievably good, R factory was much better in the past than it is now.

So I got the dial delivered today and it looks WAY better then the pictures and you can hardly really tell the scratches are there unless your real close on an angle, so I think under a crystal youd never notice.. and I also found all the gears to convert me 2834 to a gmt

Clearly a legit Rfactory dial! However, the bottom half of the printing  looks fuzzy to me?

it may be photo angle or a refinish done before the practice was sinful!....in any event it's

a very cool /valuable dial.

regards, Mcotter
