polexpete
Haven't seen a Rep Tudor Sub apart from Randy's and By-Tor's so thought i would post my newly finished Military Sub inspired by By-Tor's MBW version. Spec is as follows: 1:1 aftermarket case. Original Tudor Dial. Aftermarket hands from Hong Kong. 2836 engraved movement with date gearing removed (Original has a 2784). Original vintage crown and tube. Original Rolex Tropic 19. Ofrei bezel insert which turned blue in the bleach. Bond Nato strap. P.

That model of Tudor is the color-scheme I am working towards with my 2531.80 project watch. Out of curiosity, how did you get the color of the lumes on the dial and hands to match up? Absolutely fantastic watch, I bet that's going to be getting a lot of wrist time

Jetsons
Excellent work putting the franken Tudor together. A vintage acrylic pearl on the insert would be a great finishing touch. How were you able to source a 1:1 reproduction case? I look far and wide for parts but have yet to run across this. Enjoy!
polexpete
Thanks for yer comments guys, glad you like it. I guess i got lucky with the hands i saw a photo of them before buying they look pretty close but in fact as you can see they are a perfect match. The case i tracked down on the Bay. I've only ever seen two, this one and another i also bid on but the price went through the roof. Crazy wot people will pay, could have brought a whole watch. As for gen pearls you're right, i need a few so if anybody can help... P.
ubiquitous
Ahhhh.... Vintage Tudor reps... Not many available, so it seems that most have to be built I miss my old 7928... Oft times I wish I would not have sold it. I suppose I could build another... Great work on yours, Pete. The snow flake is one of my all time favorites... By-Tor
Beauty. The Snowflake hands version is really something else... I agree with others... get an acrylic pearl or remove the pearl altogether.
