Rolexman Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 (edited) Saw it at an AD yesterday and also was able to find a picture for you guys. I don't like it. Looks like they were out of second hands and used one from a different model..... Edited March 25, 2007 by Rolexman
tonton2000 Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 The datefont looks like a stock ETA one, not the usual 'custom' breitling font
Pugwash Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 Saw it at an AD yesterday and also was able to find a picture for you guys. I don't like it. Hang on, is the tail of the S flat on that one too? Has the visual tell on our reps disappeared? Damn, it would appear the only remaining tells are the pearl and the lume on the chapter ring.

Rxus Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 Well for those of us who purchase reps this sort of progress on the manufacturing side is trully welcomed...But it's very disturbing to those who look at places like ebay for deals on gens.. as i can only imagine the amount of scams that will shortly arise from such accurate reps being produced each day
b16a2 Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 I seem to have problems seeing pictures from imageshack . Could you post the original link for me at all please?
Pugwash Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 I seem to have problems seeing pictures from imageshack . Could you post the original link for me at all please? The original link would use Imageshack too, surely.
Usil Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 The second hand just looks wrong. It is off balence to the rest of the watch. Usil
b16a2 Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 The original link would use Imageshack too, surely. I know that's what I can't understand. When a picture is linked form this site to the original source it doesnt work. Like the other day with the white steel fish (rep or gen) that we were looking at. When I get the link to the site it appears on originally, it works!
Defender110 Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 ugly seconds hands... looks more like a gmt hand.
Pugwash Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 I'll go against the general consensus and say the second hand isn't too bad. It's very legible, for instance.
JWR Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 I agree with pugwash... the slightly larger minute and hour hands also look nice, i think.
Guest chronomat123 Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 I think that seconds hand looks retarded.
notguilty Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 hee hee that second hand looks like the ones u see on cheap a21j breitling reps.
FxrAndy Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 Are we sure that is a gen? the numbers look rounder on the top than other gen pics i have seen.
Rolexman Posted March 26, 2007 Author Report Posted March 26, 2007 (edited) hee hee that second hand looks like the ones u see on cheap a21j breitling reps. I second that... butt ugly! And yes, it is a gen. I'm a 100% sure. Saw it also at an AD and I know this seller (Alex), he only sells gens. I included the pic as regular attachment. Edited March 26, 2007 by Rolexman
FxrAndy Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 Good news then confirmed as genn as one of the tell tales for me was the rounded numerals on the reps but if the gens can also look like that, even better. As for the seonds hands, it looks ok, easy to see that is for sure.
