Allmans - Fillmore East. Probably the greatest live album ever.

Elvis - On Stage 1970. The greatest live performer at his peak

Stephen Stills - Live. Awesome playing electric & acoustic guitar

CSNY - 4 Way Street. Four huge talents all pulling together (for once!)

Dead Can Dance - Toward The Within. Out of this world.

Neil Young - Unplugged. Re-invents his back catalogue with stunning results

Joni Mitchell - Miles Of Aisles. The greatest musician/songwriter of the 20th century

Joni Mitchell - Shadows & Light. See above.

Just picked up Dave Matthews Live Trax on the basis of By-Tor's receommendations. Will listen to it before the w/e is out.

@ montydog.. not sure how I did not pick this up month's ago, but it looks like we have simlar tastes. That Stephan Stills live album is the most underated album in my collection. You never hear about it, but it is outstanding.

Again, alot of albums picked are up there for me.

But when I saw the thread, only one live album ever comes to mind first.

Jimi Hendrix... Band of Gypsies.

The song machine guns still gives me goose bumps.

I cant believe you guys made it through almost two pages without mentioning THE greatest live album.

I woke up this morning with a wine glass in my hand, whose wine, what wine, where the hell did I dine?. One of the all time classic lines. :thumbsupsmileyanim: Ah! Frampton with hair. I remember those days. Saw him in concert in 70 something. Great concert. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

MSG (NYC Cable station) runs a concert series known as the Jammies perioridcally. One such recent concert featured Frampton. You would never recognize him.

BTW here is my original list posted in April. Still looks good to me

Traffic - Live at the Canteen

Who - Live at Leeds

CSNY - 4 way street

Allman Bros - Live at the Filmore East

The Band - Last Waltz

Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense

Neil Young - Live Rust

Stehen Stills- Stills Live.

Nirvana- Unplugged

I would also add, No-Nukes.
