How to open Navitimer case back?

What's the best way to open the case back of a Navitimer Serie Speciale? Anyone tried the duct tape method? I have a kit of various tools but the opener isn't wide enough.

Well, I successfully opened it with a 12" adjustable wrench! It was the only thing big enough that I had on hand that would fit around the case. Another difficulty with this watch was that the notches on the case back aren't parallel, making opening the case back without scratching it difficult but not impossible.

You could try using a palm sized rubber ball, the ones that children play with. It works for me when opening the caseback, however, I use a 12 inch wrench to do the final tightening when fitting it back. Do it slowly, the wrench sometimes slip.

I use duct or packing tape. ether ball it up or wrap around your fingers to grip it.

I have sticky ball, but i dont understand what type of force I need to apply. The ball need to be full air compressed or only 80%?

Ball 90% inflated, and squeeze the ball, pushing quite hard down onto the case back whilst turning anti-clockwise.  I find better results when I clean both the ball, and case back with alcohol wipes.  Make sure both are dry before carrying out the procedure.

Nothing to do....i have only turned it anticlockwise for 170°. Its impossible to open

But now, how i can close it???
