It's official, this winter we received 680 inches of snow. That works out to 56 feet and 8 inches. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Here's what 56 feet of snow looks like... no kidding, this picture is straight from the camera:

56 feet and 8 inches :blink::blink::blink:

Now thats a lot of snow.....no wonder Norwegians love Alaska

BTW we are now having lovely spring weather her in southern Norway the days are getting much longer and at low altitude snow is gone almost everywhere close to the coast (save places that are perpetually in the shade)

Safety regulations, the linesmen refuse to climb to any great heights so they have poles that can be worked on from the ground :blink:

You could have hung a rollie or pannie from the telephone pole to authenticate the picture....not that we don't trust you :p

The picture Jjah posted is actually of me. The amazing thing is, as long as I wear a Pan, I can still pick up the chicks. But I'm having trouble remembering what to do once I get them. Can somebody help me out here? :secret:

Most women have two buttons on either side of the upper part of their case. You can set them by carefully turning one or both clockwise and counter-clockwise until you sense a bit of resistance.

There is usually an opening somewhat below this with an aperture into which you should insert your own winding stem - presuming you possess one. This should be vigorously pushed in and out until her mainspring is fully wound and released. Be careful not to strip any gears while performing this operation: this part of a woman's mechanism is quite delicate and sensitive to mishandling or abuse.

Other than a bit of lubrification, this should be all you need to ensure a number of years of pleasure and satisfaction with your piece. Unless of course you get tired of it and decide to move on to another model. Other than considerations of time and money, nothing prevents the serious collector from having as many different ones as he desires.

Hope this helps!
