tomtofa Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 I felt bad grinding off the Paci buckle - they're about the best. But I felt good when the PVD buckle went on:
chris5264 Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 great combo, I like the color of davidsen's dials. They look more vintage then most of the other reps. the lum is a darker color and goes great with that strap. The case looks good to. Is that the gen 6497? Doesn't look like any recessed pin problems..
V Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 Yeap.. very nice watch... I personally don't like stitchless straps but that's a personal choice
wildcard Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 Great watch. When did you get it? I`m waiting for my 009 to arrive. BTW were do you live? Thx
tomtofa Posted May 5, 2006 Author Report Posted May 5, 2006 @chris5264 Is that the gen 6497? Doesn't look like any recessed pin problems..The movement is a basic 6497-1 Swiss - I had to take the back off to tighten the bracket screw, so I got a look. Davidsen is the last person one would expect recessed pin problems from @veni12 I personally don't like stitchless straps but that's a personal choice I know what you mean about stitchless, but it works for me on this one - simple+simple. I'll try a Tan flesibile for the stitched look, when I get that buckle off @Wildcard BTW were do you live? I'm in California
ravishingrick Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 Very sexy... I can wait till my davidsen 195 arives....
thealphabeta Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 Wow that is lovely! Who's it from out of interest? It may be next on the list....just bought a Navi though
wildcard Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 .............I had to take the back off to tighten the bracket screw, so I got a look..... How did you notice that you have to tighten the screw? Was it an easy fix? BTW , after Davidson mentioned that 4 watches had fallen thru his examination, I would not have expected, loose screws or something like that. Regards
halley Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 Mine was delivered yesterday but unfortuntly one lugg was scratched and the movement stops each time I close the lever ! Davidsen is shipping me a new one next week! Great guy - sometimes small details slips trough QC no big deal

Regards I noticed because the watch was loose in the case The fix is easy if you have a way of getting the back off, and a small screwdriver. I wouldn't try it without those tools - easier to let D send another. About the ones that failed - maybe he was referring to the initial PVD'ing of the cases?
