shultz Posted July 22, 2007 Report Posted July 22, 2007 Hi, How do you like my avenger chrono? Is it a rep? A Franken watch? A gen? What dou you think? Just a little advice: Look at the date fonts, the dial, the hands, the ar coated crystal and the silver pins of the hands
azgjav Posted July 22, 2007 Report Posted July 22, 2007 franken. i can tell from the crown and the polished screws on the bezel, looks nothing like my gen.
shultz Posted July 22, 2007 Author Report Posted July 22, 2007 (edited) franken. i can tell from the crown and the polished screws on the bezel, looks nothing like my gen. Yep. you're the winner Actually the base is one of the early AC reps with the open 4 on the bezel. I assembled a swiss 7750 mvt., gen dial, hand set and date wheel. Believe me it was very tricky to get a gen date wheel but finally I was succesful BTW: The watch is a great time keeper: 4 sec. per day. Waterproofness to 60 meters tested. Not recommended for diving but good for a car wash Edited July 22, 2007 by shultz
Mickey Padge Posted July 22, 2007 Report Posted July 22, 2007 May I ask where you got the dial and date wheel please? I have a Ti chrono Avenger that would also look great with those parts. Cheers!
cskent69 Posted July 22, 2007 Report Posted July 22, 2007 I second that that request. I have a gen dial already installed - but need that DATEWHEEL!!!!!
b16a2 Posted July 22, 2007 Report Posted July 22, 2007 Wow that is a great looking franken you have there! With that date wheel, that is almost spot on to the gen!
Mickey Padge Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 Feel free to PM me with any information please!
shultz Posted July 24, 2007 Author Report Posted July 24, 2007 Are the gen hadns not differently in regards to the pinions than teh rep hands? The gen pinions look thicker. Or is it just a silver hand tube? Great watch, congrats... As I didn't assemble rep hands but genuine hands there was no problem with the pins. Mvt. is a swiss 7750 (with the right pin thickness), hands, dial and DW are genuine as well. Sorry guys: I don't have any idea to source another DW. I regret that because I want to upgrade my EVO (which is already improved by a gen dial and swiss 7750), too. I hope that lello will continue his DW overlay projet for Brtlng soon.
andreww Posted July 25, 2007 Report Posted July 25, 2007 How do I like it? So much that I had to pull the trigger on one of the Titanium beauties today! Can't wait to get it!
