robjlim
This is probably a stupid question, but for those of us new to the rep scene and forums, is it pronounced Paner-A or Paner-I? I just ordered the PAM00090 and wanted to make sure I pronounced it right. I'm sure with this watch I will be getting a lot of " WOW, What kind of watch is that"?On the subject, has anyone any feedback on the PAM00090 rep? Is it a fantasy watch with the clear caseback or does the original have the same? I can't seem to find a pic of a gen 90 anywhere on the web....not the backing anyway. Your help is much appreciated. Indyclmbr
A similar thread to this on the old RWG saved me. I attended an event recently and I noticed a gentleman wearing a PAM. It's the first time I've seen anyone wearing one. He was a very nice older gentleman and he and his wife were complimenting me and my wife on our little ones. They were saying how much fun it was for them (there children are grown now). Anyway, after chatting for a while, I felt compelled to say "Nice Panerai. You don't see many of those around here." And he said, "Thanks, you're familiar?" It was very nice. He then showed it to me then asked what I was wearing. (The first time someone asked me that regarding my watch. Fortunately I wasn't wearing a PAM. I had on my EXP II. I asked my wife about him afterward and told her he was wearing a very nice watch. She said yeah, he's one of the attorneys we work with but he also owns several high-end clothing stores throughout the state. All I can say is I'm very happy that I could pronounce Panerai in that situation. Climb on.

jkerouac
Paner-I is the watch. Paner-A sells good bagels Funny the resemblance. To some people, wearing a Panerai is kind of like strapping a bagel to your wrist. (Written while wearing my bagel -- er, Pan -- 192)
