FasTTaP Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 i did alot of research on the forum before buying. these have a good reliability rate (the newer chinese movments) but if it fails well thats when you need some luck. pleeeeeease share this knowledge also, could you give us the name of your seller???? cheers
Pugwash Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 Last I looked the millionsmart tourbillion range started at about $400, with discounts available on volume purchases Plus all the duties and taxes ...
dadog13 Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 wow...this is one of the nicest chinese tourbillons i have ever seen...love it!...congrats to the buyer...
fotoman Posted August 14, 2007 Author Report Posted August 14, 2007 this is the dude selling them http://cgi.ebay.com/FLYING-TOURBILLION-WAT...7QQcmdZViewItem re; research - just search tourbillon on the forum, there aren't too many posts. - Specifically read what user addingwatch has to say, he is pretty much the expert. conclusion is though that most of what you see out there is reliable movements these days. the "real" tourbillons are the center mounted (non flying) prices for those are closer to 1k. Prices are constantly dropping for all the movements. i like the flying tourb better even if the "true' tourb is the center one, cause it moves more looks cooler - who gives a crap if it makes it 6 seconds a month more accurate like i wear 1 watch for a month

FasTTaP Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 Does anybody know if you can buy direct from millionsmart.com ????
dvn Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 maybe a group buy? I am in for one if less than $500. @phoband: It is a beautiful watch you got. So enjoy.

narikaa Posted August 15, 2007 Report Posted August 15, 2007 One regret I have is in not buying the seagull movement skeleton tourbillon in gold with power reserve I saw early last year (Badged up as Breguet)....I dithered, when I went back to buy.....gone! .
FasTTaP Posted August 15, 2007 Report Posted August 15, 2007 I love the SS version of this one... I'm surprised you can't source this by yourself directly from the factory or a wholesaler Narikaa... (was hoping a collector here would be able to do so... hopefully you)
section8 Posted August 15, 2007 Report Posted August 15, 2007 Beautiful watch there phoband I'm very jealous. I'm going to have to start looking into one of these non-branded tourbys too.
fotoman Posted August 15, 2007 Author Report Posted August 15, 2007 Send me a PM if your interested in this or a similar watch. I'm going to talk to the dealer i used about pricing. Maybe we can bring him to the board as a tourby dealer and negotiate a nice price. I'm actually going to work with him to do some of his photo work. This watch is really awesome. its better than the photos
FasTTaP Posted August 15, 2007 Report Posted August 15, 2007 Bringing a high end chinese 'nobrand' watch dealer to this board would be awsome...
juanstar Posted August 16, 2007 Report Posted August 16, 2007 (edited) FYI, the guy is a known seller on Replica-Watches-Guide.com & TRC He is a UK based seller named Homer, I am sure few people know him. I bought him few watches, and has always been really happy about them. I am sure you can get a bulk price cheers, Edited August 16, 2007 by juanstar

narikaa Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 I'll bet he either keeps it in a hermetically sealed glass case or It hasn't been off his wrist yet .
