FxrAndy Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 I have 89xxxx P4GTR has 89xxxx You????
Pugwash Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 A different number to all of the above. Nice.
Rxus Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 Mine is different as well... i thought there was 10 sets of numbers? Is there more? or could i have confused this with another watch?
Seadweller4000 Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 A different number to all of the above. Nice. Same here...
Pugwash Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 If someone wants to so a proper survey, I'm happy to PM my serial, but I think posting them here defeats the purpose of having different numbers.
FxrAndy Posted September 18, 2007 Author Report Posted September 18, 2007 Well that is 8 different numbers, so if there are 10 different numbers that is better than them all being the same but they look like a random last 4 , can any one confirm if the gen starts with 89 and can we see if we can get 11 different numbers, this realy does look like a super rep, very hard to spot the rep!
anton Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 I guess that depends on which version the rep is based on. If it's the newer one, it should have either seven-digit serials or serials in the high nines.
FxrAndy Posted September 18, 2007 Author Report Posted September 18, 2007 I have been doing some scouting round and have seen 12 different serial numbers including the ones listed as "different" here and all are in the 89s. If pug's, SD4k and rxus have numbers starting with 89. I am going to do a look for gen numbers in a mo.
Pugwash Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 If pug's, SD4k and rxus have numbers starting with 89. Mine is an 89.
FxrAndy Posted September 18, 2007 Author Report Posted September 18, 2007 14 rep numbers all 89XXXXs but just 1 gen number 1085038 with 7 numbers and not 6 like the reps any one help on other gen numbers or a rep outside the 89s??????????
P4GTR Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 (edited) Andy maybe its best you throw an X somewhere in our SN's. I'm going to edit my picture I think. These guys have a point. Edit: Hey, Andy I forgot to say- These are advertised as having "individual serial numbers" Edited September 18, 2007 by P4GTR
FxrAndy Posted September 18, 2007 Author Report Posted September 18, 2007 Done P4GTR, couple of people might also want to edit there numbers above, no where can i get a case back with a higher number? @P4GTR they were but you know how some of these dealers lie! some people heard that there were only 10 numbers but we have disproved that.

Thanks Andy. Its an interesting subject for sure.
FxrAndy Posted September 18, 2007 Author Report Posted September 18, 2007 @ Dudru, Are you playing a little joke there or is that what your watch says? 7 fig starting with an 86, is this a rep or gen (he asks with trepidation)
DuDro Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 @ Dudru, Are you playing a little joke there or is that what your watch says? 7 fig starting with an 86, is this a rep or gen (he asks with trepidation) Just seeing who was paying attention...Ok, ok...here's mine for real...894199
DuDro Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 If someone wants to so a proper survey, I'm happy to PM my serial, but I think posting them here defeats the purpose of having different numbers. Should one be seriously concerned about having their "rep serial number" stolen for another rep???
FxrAndy Posted September 18, 2007 Author Report Posted September 18, 2007 Just seeing who was paying attention...Ok, ok...here's mine for real...894199 Well that blows the 10 numbers theory out of the water! maybe we should start a real long and anoying thread about what our collectors dont lie about. LOL
plaifender Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 wow.. this is actually impressive.. if there's over 20 numbers.. that's actually makes the reps more unique than i thought
anton Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 (edited) Let's see...8675309 Hey! Is this your phone number or was your watch made in the future????? ------------ I don't think there would be any gens made in this number sequence...if so, then think of how easy it would be to locate where the SN was sold and then obtain papers for a "lost" item.
